The short version
- We keep what you need to plan practices: your email, the name you choose, your teams, practices, drills and ratings.
- We never want information about the kids you coach. Please leave players’ names out of anything you type.
- No ads, no advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t sell anything about you.
- Email hello@coachingcadence.com and we’ll send you a copy of your data or delete your account, within a week.
What we store
- Your account: your email address and the display name you choose. There is no password: you sign in with a code we email you.
- Your teams: the team name, sport, age group, game format, how many players usually come (a number, never who), and their level.
- Your practices: everything you enter or accept: the goal, date and length, activities, notes, what to say, what happened last game, the opponent, conditions and, if you add it, where you practice.
- Drills you add, your private notes, pins and hides, and the stars you give activities.
- Coaches on your teams: who joined which team, and the team’s invite link.
- A few counts: the date and kind of some actions, such as making a practice, marking it Final, printing it, opening a share link or Practice mode, starting the timer, making an invite link and joining a team. They record that it happened, never what you wrote, and never who opened a share link.
- How many recommendations you asked for, to keep within a daily limit.
Who can see it
- Your teams and practices: you, and the coaches you invite onto a team. Nobody else unless you send a share link.
- A share link: anyone who has it can read that practice, without an account. They don’t see your reasons or ratings.
- Drills you share: every coach of that sport, under your display name. A drill marked Only me stays out of other coaches’ libraries, but coaches on your teams can read it on practices that use it.
- Ratings: yours are private. Other coaches only ever see an average from three or more coaches, never who rated.
- Your email address is never shown to other coaches.
- We can see what is stored when we need to run the service or answer a request from you.
Services that handle your data
We use a small number of services to run Coaching Cadence. Each gets only what it needs:
- Supabase stores everything above and handles sign-in, on servers in the United States. Supabase privacy
- Vercel runs the website, so it handles every page you open, including your IP address in its logs. Vercel privacy
- Resend sends the sign-in emails, so it gets your email address and the code. Resend privacy
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks, at sign-in, that you are a person. It looks at your browser, not at what you type. Cloudflare privacy
- Google Gemini writes recommended practices and drafts drills from videos. When you ask it to, it gets what that request needs: your goal or the change you asked for, the practice as it stands, its details (the notes about last game and conditions included), your team’s sport, age group, format, size and level, recent practices’ focus and drill names, the drills in the library with your ratings of them, and, for a video, the video and your notes on it. Gemini API terms
- YouTube gets the words you search for in Find a video, and the video ids we check. See below.
- Sentry gets a short report when something breaks on our servers, so we can fix it. Nothing is sent to Sentry from your phone or browser, and reports are kept on servers in the United States. Sentry privacy
- A report says what kind of error it was, where in our code it happened, the kind of page it was on (for example, a practice’s page, never which one), which version of the app was running, and when. The error’s own wording is included only when it is one of the technical messages we expect; anything else is left out.
- A report never includes your name, email address, IP address or sign-in, anything you typed, which practice, team or drill it was about, or anything from a share or invite link.
- Errors on shared practices, invite links and the sign-in page are not reported at all.
YouTube
Coaching Cadence uses YouTube API Services to find drill videos and to check that video links still work. By using Find a video, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s handling of that data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. We store a video’s id, title and channel name with the drills that use it, and check them again from time to time.
Coaching Cadence never connects to your Google or YouTube account, so there is nothing of yours to revoke. You can still review which apps can reach your Google account in Google’s security settings. When you play a video, YouTube shows it, and YouTube’s own privacy terms apply.
On your device
- A sign-in cookie keeps you signed in on that browser. It is the only cookie we set, and signing out removes it.
- Practice mode keeps a copy of a practice on the phone so it opens with no signal, and remembers the timer and any rating not yet sent. Signing out removes the copies of your own practices.
- A few small settings, such as whether you have seen the home-screen tip or turned the timer’s chime off.
No other website can read any of these, and none of them is used for advertising.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account exists. Sign-in codes stop working after 15 minutes. To get a copy of your data or to delete your account, email hello@coachingcadence.com from the address you sign in with, and we’ll do it within a week. Deleting an account deletes the teams you made and their practices, and the practices you made on other coaches’ teams. Drills you added go too; other coaches’ practices that used them keep the activity’s name.
Kids
Coaching Cadence is for adult coaches, not for children, and we don’t knowingly collect anything from or about a child. There is no place for players’ names, ages, photos or attendance, and we ask you not to type them anywhere. If a name slips into a note, edit it out, or email us and we’ll remove it.
Changes and questions
When this page changes, the date at the top changes and What’s new says so. Questions or complaints: email hello@coachingcadence.com.
